Automate your Email Marketing with Aweber, the Best Email Client on the Planet.

I may earn advertising or referral fees from the products mentioned in this post if you buy through the links. It's no extra cost to you to do so, but it helps keep my blog going. I appreciate your support;)

Whether you run a simple travel blog or a big online e-commerce store, you probably know by now that email marketing is one of the biggest keys to your success.  Emails are a personal and surefire way of building an audience that is actually eager to hear from you.  After all, these people signed up to receive news and emails from you.  You can assume that they like the message you are sending and that they want to hear more from you.  They want to know when you publish your latest blog post or video or when you are offering a new online course.  Not only do they want to hear from you, but they just might want to buy from you as well.  If you are running any type of website with the intention of capturing leads, you should consider getting an email marketing platform.

What is an email marketing platform?

An email marketing platform is simply a tool that helps you organize the email lists that you capture and the emails that you send to those people.  Sounds simple, but there is a lot that can go into these two things and having a proper tool to do this job is certainly better than trying to keep things organized in your inbox. There are many things that these platforms can do.

What should an email marketing platform do for you?

  • Quickly build a variety of different email capture forms
  • Create different lists for you based on the forms that you’ve created
  • Assign those lists to specific email funnels
  • Create a follow-up series of emails
  • Personalize those emails using fields like “first name” and “email”
  • Schedule how often those emails are sent
  • Move people from one list to another based on purchase/ opt-in behavior
  • Provide ongoing education for you as a marketer
  • Provide great customer support and service and be available and eager to help you whenever you get stuck for a technical or strategical problem with your campaigns.
  • Provide analytics
  • Connect and integrate to other apps like WordPress

Which email client should I choose?

Well, I always recommend two email clients and I recommend them for two very different types of clients.  MailChimp is a free client and is the one I recommend to those clients who don’t have the budget to spend $20/ month on Aweber.  I also recommend it to those who maybe aren’t so serious and just playing around with their websites and email marketing strategies.  It’s not bad and it does get the job done.  For those who are serious about their business and can afford (the reality is you can’t afford to not have it if you are serious), I always recommend Aweber.

Aweber is the best email client on the market

The email platform that I use for my online business is AWeber.  I have been really happy with their service and support.  I receive quick responses when I have questions that need answering and I find that they are proactive about getting information out to me that I wouldn’t have even thought to ask for.  They have a series of tutorial videos and webinars to get you started as well.  It costs a bit more than the free tools out there, but it is well worth the extra money to have these premium features.

Top reasons why I prefer Aweber over MailChimp

Unlimited Emails

Aweber offers unlimited emails, whereas a free service like MailChimp limits you to 12,000.  That may sound like a lot but think about it. If you have a 1,000 people on your email list, they can each only get 12 total emails.  Bummer.

Phenomenal Customer Support

As I mentioned, good customer support is essential.  There is nothing worse than trying to sort out how to do something on your website and asking your plugin developer to help you and then getting stuck in a limbo period of never ending waiting.  I don’t know about you, but I’m willing to pay a little bit extra to get to the front of the line when it comes to technical support.  Aweber offers chat, email and phone support.  24/7.  You can’t beat that.  Mail Chimp offers email support only.

Unlimited Sign Up-Form Templates

MailChimp gives you one sign up form template per list.  Aweber allows you to create multiple forms, capturing leads from different angles but sending them to the same place.

Stock Photos Included

How awesome is that?  I do have Adobe Stock, another thing I recommend to anyone with a website, but inevitably I run out of my monthly allotment of stock photos.  Aweber includes 6,000+ stock photos in their package, all at your disposal.

Unlimited Hosting Storage

While MailChimp image hosting storage, it has limits.  Awebers hosting provides no limits.  Another thing which totally rocks.

Email Templates

I doubt you will ever use them all but Aweber offers 700 + email templates whereas MailChimp offers 300 .

Free Trial

Aweber offers 30-day free trials for all new customers.  It’s totally worth giving it a try if not just to run through their awesome video tutorials.
